A music video that uses live concert footage is 'Kick Me' by Sleeping With Sirens. It uses both live footage and footage purposely made for the video.
Animation:
'Somewhere Only We Know' by Lily Allen is a video made just by animation and real life footage of how they made it. They used stop motion animation to create this video which tells the story of a Hare that doesn't want its friend missing out on Christmas.
Interpretive:
I chose the video 'Firework' by Katy Perry for interpretive because it has many different stories within the video so many people can relate to each one. The audience can interpret each story as they like.
Illistrative:
Coldplay's 'Paradise' is very for illistrative because the visuals bond with the lyrics and both tell the same story.
Narrative:
For Narrative, I chose the video 'Take Me To Church' by Hozier. This video has a very strong and emotional storyline to it. It was inspired by a Russian campaign against homosexuality.
Surrealist:
I chose 'Somebody That I Used To Know' by Gotye for surrealism because it was interesting the way the paint was added so the singers blend into the wall. The video also used stop motion animation when applying the paint to them.
Pastiche & Homage:
Marilyn Manson 'Dope Hat' was the video I chose this style because it pays homage to Willy Wonka. From the start, you can clearly notice that it is paying homage to the film by the use of the Umpa Lumpas and the boat on the chocolate rivers.
Parody:
Within Eminems 'Just Lose It' he mocks Michael Jackson by dressing up as him, copying the Billie Jean pavement that lights up, setting his hair on fire and making his nose fall off.
